That's pretty cool. I love mechanical stuff like that. With that said: HOLY MOLY!!! That looks like a lot of work.
Oh wow, the Wood Whisperer has Ridgeline! You don't know how eager that makes me to get mine now, haha. The Wood Whisperer, along with Steve Ramsey (Woodworking for mere mortals) are the two Youtube channels that got me into woodworking. Ironically, me now being into woodworking is the reason I'm in need of a truck, and the reason I find the Ridgeline perfect for my needs!

Check out both of their channels, they're great! Ramsey is best for beginners, the WW is high level stuff, I mainly like to drool over his tools/shop.

EDIT: I see now, the RL might not be his, still, well played Honda

I second that!! WWMM got me into the woodwork side of the maker scene. And The wood whisperers free videos are drool worthy. Check out john peters art and home. Hes great as well.

Same here. But I realized I'd have to get those tools too. So the dilemma became... buy the RL or buy the tools. If I buy the RL, won't have money to buy the tools. If I buy the tools, won't have a truck to use for bringing home stuff to use with the tools. I decided to buy the RL first.

Rent the tools ;)

the materials cost is in the $300+ alone...not counting the labour/tools :|

This is only for serious commitment :) ... when I heard 45 pcs routing the dream bubble burst !

It is still a lot but about $800 will get you a nice table saw, drill+accessories, circular saw and a few other little things.

Heck..I made this with my dads cheap cheap ryobi band saw and a QEP tile saw with a 7 in wood blade installed in it haha

Nice job STUV! Should have took the pictures with the RL in the background like the WoodWhisperer.

Yup I'm already looking at getting the Ryobi. Great reviews for great price it seems! The ONE+ line seems promising, just buy multiple batteries to keep the job going.
Don't be overwhelmed when starting to buy tools. Pick a project you want to build, get what you need for that project and go from there. Tools will accumulate, trust me :)

My only advice is to err on the side of a more quality tool. Buy it once, for life, if possible.
Would have been better if he powered the tools from the truck...
