I also go OEM on the pads. They brake well and have minimal dust. Plus, they are ceramic.
Oh they are ceramic on the RL? did not know that. I wont have to worry about pads for a long time, all 4 were replaced when I bout it new about 15k KMS ago.

Yeah that's what my Mechanic told me to get and that I can get them installed very inexpensively like roughly $320.

Now I need to find out where I can get them from
Changing brake pads is a relativity easy job. If your mechanically inclined then you will have no problems and you can save money. I have always done my own brake pads since my first car and I have never had a problems. Just got re-grease your sliders and I always put a tiny bit of grease on each end of the pad where it actually sides on the caliper.

Any auto parts store should be able to order them for you, or your local Honda dealer. I always just go to the dealer. I've bought enough cars from them they usually give me a little discount.

I was going to say the same thing. There are threads here that discuss the pad replacement process. It is pretty simple. $320 sounds pretty high to me for a simple pad replacement.

We seem to be on the same page today speed. 320 even with parts included is a little high in my mind even in western/northern Canada where prices are quite high.

What is a typical hourly rate in the US? I realize this can vary so maybe just a range. hahha

Yeah will in this area where that is pretty good deal come to what I am sure the Honda Dealer ship would charge me.
I could get that done for $200 at my dealer in Halifax but not in western Canada. Goes to show how much prices vary by region.

Use the Thermo Quiet pads. They are they best.

Couldn't hear the sound well, but mine made a sound like wetting your finger and rubbing it around the rim of a glass, a hollow kind of ringing sound. It was not the wear tabs, but it was the pins on rear pads. They were sticking and only when in reverse did they make sound due to the pressure on the pads. It stopped when going forward. Re lube the pins, use the Thermo Quiet pads, good to go!
