re: North American "Truck of the Year" Award
Nice win for Ridgeline I said it would do well:smile:

Up here in Canada Motoring show on TSN picked the Nissan Titan over the Ridgeline. It would be embarrassing if they didn't win, cause the new introduction is "usually" favored just as when Ridgeline won in 2006. But it was a good whoop'n over the Ford Super Duty by 171 points. And the Chevy Bolt pounded with the highest win I have ever seen.
2017 Chevy Bolt (by 259 points over Hyundai Genesis) / Honda Ridgeline (by 171 points over Ford Super Duty)
2016 Honda Civic (by 22 points) / Volvo XC90 (by 199 points)
2015 Volkswagen Golf (by 52 points) / Ford F-150 (by 92 points)
2014 Corvette Stingray (by 26 points) / Chevy Silverado (by 45 points)
2013 Cadillac ATS (by 48 points) / Ram 1500 (by 119 points)
2012 Hyundai Elantra (by 13 points)/ Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (by 102 points)

NACTOY
North American Car & Truck of the Year
Many of the independent journalists/organizations will have different picks, of course. The thing about NACTOY is that it is 60 journalists compiled to a committee for a vote. You'll have to help me a little, I'm not that familiar with Canada Motoring to know if that is a panel of journalists, or if it is their own pick. I do know that AJAC did not select the Ridgeline, either, but they have no pickup selection that I can see.Up here in Canada Motoring show on TSN picked the Nissan Titan over the Ridgeline.
The show is on TSN (total sports network) and it's called Motoring 2017. The year changes every year it's on and it's been running for 30 years. It's a great show out of Toronto Ontario. Many of the independent journalists/organizations will have different picks, of course. Here are the jurors that make up the votes: The Jurors @ North American Car & Truck of the Year
None of it really matters, as you can see by history. But they are cool overall accolades.
It has it's own thread. Under "Headlines" -- you should include your link there too.Just went to our beloved RL G2. Don't care this has already been posted somewhere else, it needs its own thread
New, Innovative 2017 Honda Ridgeline Wins ?North American Truck of the Year? Award
If it makes you feel any better not only have I purchased multiple Hondas from the dealership, my daughter is friends with the owner's daughter! I actually bought my RL from a different dealership this time out of frustration. No big deal anything redesigned, that its new wins just reminds me of La La Land and its been goin on for years. I could careless if it wins and am still running numbers as my Dealer, after a second test drive aint helping on it one bit. After buyin 3 new Hondas within the last five years you would think they would fudge a little bit, hell with Honda then. With this North American Truck of the year that dont help and their will be more awards to come just cause its new. Think Im goin to wait now for that new Ranger comin out if my Dealer dont pony up. Since the new Ranger will be new showin up Im sure that will make Truck of the year too. Not a hater, so dont go there............Whats available Im not comfy with fit and trim.
Titan was new/redesign also and was finalist for Truck Of The Year if you saw when the award was given the Ridgeline had to drive past it.No big deal anything redesigned, that its new wins just reminds me of La La Land and its been goin on for years.
