I was looking into painting my rims black and was wondering what issues yall ran into. I've read that the weights on the rims are somewhat of a problem as well as painting where the lug nuts tighten, but other than that, what else is there? I don't want to run into any unforeseen problems.
take your wheel weights off. have them re balanced and put the stick on weights on inside. I have had them on for two years and no problem. lug nut issue. have had not any problems. I guess sif you plan on doing 5 coats then maybe try to keep to 1 or 2 near lug nuts.
its would be easier with tires off....just do a good masking job
You may have already done so brother, but if not take a lok at Andres' thread linked below. Great info. Some of the the other threads under the "WHEELS/RIMS/TIRES" section will probably be able to help too if you have some time to research on there. Good luck.
