Hello.
I am starting this thread because I needed to replace my mangled factory positive terminal on my battery (thanks PO) and I couldn't find the size of the cables that connect to that terminal.

See this thread: http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120034

My connector wouldn't tighten even with a lead shim underneath it. I replaced the battery last spring and noticed it was loose about a month ago while doing some other upgrades.

Enough back story. There are 3 wires on the positive terminal. A number 2, 4 and 8 AWG wires. I am glad I bought a range of sizes.

I put a military style connector and cover for its durability and ease of adding additional connectors.

I found the "military style" connectors on several sources, but a local place actually had just the positive and cover. Where most other places I had to buy both sides and the covers cost more than the terminals.

Here is the place I purchased all the lugs and terminals from:

http://www.remybattery.com/

Pretty good place and fast shipping as they have a office about a hour away, but their main location is in Milwaukee.

I didn't solder the connectors after lots of debate on that. I have read good and bad regarding soldering and that's a different discussion in itself.

I crimped them with a hydraulic crimper and then used 12mm 3-1 marine shrink tube.

I did not replace the battery cables either as I didn't feel there was a need to. I simply cut the old connector off with a dremel to preserve as much length as possible.
