Proximity sensor

I've searched the forum to see if anyone else was coming across this issue, but I haven't seen the issue pop up yet. My proximity sensors go nuts EVERY TIME I put the truck in reverse. It is convinced I'm backing over something dead center of the truck. I just turned it off to stop the annoying beeping, but I would like to figure out what is causing the problem. This is the first vehicle I have owned with proximity sensors, so I'm not sure what to look for other than to try and clean them off.

Has anybody else seen this issue?

I don't have them on my Honda but I have them on several other vehicles. You should not be getting any noise and less you're close to something. I thought I had a sensor failure on my BMW. I check the front bumper and found I had a large insect splat on the sensor. Cleaned it off and everything was good. First thing I would do is check for debris. If it's not debris on the bumper of the first thing I would do is head to the dealer. Because what you're describing is not normal.
