Radio doesn't work, neither do the dome lights

08 Ridgeline. The radio has stopped working. My dome lights have working. When I roll my key to on the gages flicker for about 5 seconds. The trip odometer resets every time the key gets turned off. It starts and runs just fine other than the listed issues. I've replaced the battery, checked every fuse and relay. I'm stumped.

In addition to what you have already checked, look for wiring problems such as loose connections and corrosion, particularly on, but not limited to, the battery cables. Also, it is not unheard of to get a faulty new battery.
I've checked every connection I can find and wiggled and tightened plugs and terminal ends. Is there a control module for these trucks? I'm also curious if there are more than 1 grounding locations. The ground cable that goes from the negative terminal on the battery to the body is tight and not corroded. But is there another ground that could be loose or corroded? Thanks again.
I'm pretty sure that there is more than one grounding point. Maybe someone will come along and post the relevant info from the service manual. To the question of control modules, it seems like everything is running through a module of some sort. Again, the service manual and/or wiring diagram will be beneficial in trying to isolate the problem.

As much as we might hate to pay for it, electrical/electronic problems can be very difficult to track down and may require professional help and equipment.
Here are the ground locations under the hood.

Thanks for the diagram. I will check all of those and give an update later.
I just wanted to let you know I accidentally broke off negative battery cable engine bolt, engine ground cable B #5 according to the diagram from Carsmak. I wanted to remove the negative battery terminal cable from the engine to do a cleaning since I was experiencing the following electrical issues: VSA, VTM, ABS, Brake, Exclamation, and intermit TPMS lights on. I tried removing the ground cable B bolt 10mm from the top of the engine using three 8" extensions, I turned it 4 times and the bolt twisted off on the 5th turn due to rust. I got the cable removed to clean the cable end and mounted it to the engine removal loop for a temporary location (had to drill a small hole and then bolted it to the loop). I started the engine and all the lights remained on, the good news is all my electrical issue lights went off after driving it out of the driveway. I plan on getting to the broken bolt from underneath the engine when I have to change my oil, which is at 20%. Hope you'll resolve your issue with out any problems.

Status update. The grounds are in good shape and all the under hood fuses have power. Fuses 1,2,3,4,10 and 11 under the dash have power. Fuses 5,6,7,8,and 9 do not. So I've isolated the problem to that.

So all of the fuses I listed passed the visual inspection. They are all part of the micu, so how would I go about checking the relay that sends power through these fuses?
The easiest way is to swap with a like, known good relay. If that isn't an option, youtube has plenty of videos on testing relays. If I'm not mistaken, these relays are electro-mechanical devices so they are prone to failure. My guess is that you have found your problem.

Eric the Car Guy has hit the BIG TIME!! I do enjoy watching his videos. Can't wait to see the "Fairmont" project actually get to the streets.

I enjoyed his content more before he started the Fairmont project since it was more applicable to stuff that I might encounter. With that said, it will be interesting to see what the Fairmont can do when the rubber meets the road.

I agree, this Fairmont project has been going on forever.
Update on this issue? I've been experiencing the same issue for quite some time now. I have a newer battery and grounds have been cleaned.

Did you ever figure out the problem. My Dad is having the exact same issues with his 07 Ridgeline.
Thank you, TJ
