Greetings!

Does anyone know for sure if the dimensions underneath the rear seat of the Gen2 are the same as the Gen1?

I am considering an under-seat storage bin manufactured by Du-Ha Inc. Their units are sold model-specific and there is one available for the Gen1 but Gen2 is not yet available and they have not answered my emails asking the question as yet.

Many thanks.

It's pretty similar to the G1 but I don't know if it has the same height. I looked at the same piece you looked at. I think the area towards the back may be shaped differently. Have you contacted Du-Ha? There is another thread where a poster said he bought some bins from Target and the fit was pretty good. Read the reviews on the web, for $200 or so dollars it should have a little better reviews.

I did email Du-Ha, twice. But they have yet to respond.

I am interested in the Du-Ha storage bin because I have a need to place, shall we say, "specialized equipment" under the rear seat with the appropriate holders and adequate undivided length to accomodate the equipment. It's the kind of equipment that shouldn't rattle around unsecured.

According to Honda's press kits, there's 0.3 in (8 mm) more space under the Gen2's rear-seat than the Gen1's. So the bin for the Gen1 may not fit very well in the Gen2.

Amazon has it listed for $125, however its not in stock. I would order it and try it out, if it does not fit just send it back. Amazon is real easy about that.

Hmm, the cheapest I saw one for there was $154.98 in grey, where did you find it for $125 (well, I guess it wasn't in stock, so it doesn't matter if you wanted one soon). If like one poster said, the G2 has .3" more space, then it should have room, but the question is, is the base the same for the unit to fit? The dimensions given on Amazon is 15"W x 52.5"L x 9"H, there are also some pictures, so I'll take a look when I get home.

When you do a search for it in Amazon, once the page comes up you look to the right under the add to cart and it gives you additional choices to buy it from, Especially on an item like this that I may not be sure if I will keep it I prefer to buy directly from Amazon or buy from someone that is using Amazon to fulfill the order. That way you get to use their easy return policies. They also normally will pay the return shipment if you return it. The black one is backordered, the one for $155 is the grey one as you mentioned that they have in stock. For $50 i"ll wait for it.

I received some more info from Du-Ha today:

"I did some research with the engineer and what we know for the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is that the part that we have up to 2014 will fit. We haven’t seen the colors yet (gray or tan) but he did confirm that the black would be ok. If you want to order, the part number you would need is a #50074.

Thanks again!"

I told them my grey interior was pretty light and she said theirs was a medium grey, which would be fine with me, it would give a little contrast to break the solid light grey up. I might give one a try.
