The image on my '09 RTL's ( with Nav) rear view camera gets washed out in any kind of bright sunlight. I have adjusted it as much as I can with the toggle. Is there any kind of fix for this? I don't have the 'guide lines' in the picture. Are they supposed to be there?

I've had three vehicles with rearview cameras - an Infiniti and two Ridgelines. All have been useless if the sun is shining directly into into them. The bright light source "blooms" and takes over much of the image. When the camera tries to compensate, everything else becomes too dark. These things use low-cost sensors on par with webcam technology from the 2000s. On the flip side, the low light sensitivity is impressive. The Ridgeline has neither fixed nor dynamic guidelines.
