I've seen these Chinese made, inexpensive, Android based HUs on eBay.
Can someone recommend one or a few that work well and provide decent sound quality?
I'm looking to spend around $200 US but am flexible and can spend more if it's something worth it.
Looking for good resolution screen and Android 5.1 or higher - recent model, not something old.
It doesn't have to have a DVD/CD drive but it's a bonus if it does.
I don't mind waiting a month for it to ship from China or Hong Kong.

Examples I've looked at on eBay.
Android 6.0 Double Din Car Stereo Radio GPS Wifi 3G OBD2 HD BT+Wireless Camera | eBay
Octa Core Android 6.0 4G WIFI 7" Double 2DIN Car Radio Stereo DAB+ OBD2 GPS Navi | eBay
Android 5.1 2 DIN 7" in Dash Car Stereo 1024x600 GPS Navigation BT MP3 USB RDS A | eBay

I've looked for a thread on this but couldn't find anything specific here.
Thanks

Check out carjoying.com... My coworker ordered one...really nice, good build quality and it has a pretty good following. I was interested in one the units so I emailed them and they got right back to me- both times. 3-5 day free shipping from China...I just ordered one yesterday ?

Thanks for the link.
They look ok, although about $100 more than I planned to spend.

Well, I've been looking on eBay a bit but just having hard time sorting through all the choices there.
I don't want to spend more than $200 US all-in.
I can live with a few glitches but not with bad sound quality.
I will make an effort to order something within next week or so. I will have to intensify my search.
Must-have: GPS, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls compatibility
Would-be-nice-to-have: optical drive, rear cam

Here's the only photo I have without the frame. You can see the jagged edges of metra kit where I used dremel.
Thanks for the pic RidgePA! Very helpful! I may buy another kit and give this a try! Were you able to get the steering wheel controls to work?

And for all the other users who are on the fence, I've had this radio for 3-4 months now and it's been flawless! I put my music collection on a 32GB card and put it in the radio, so I have my music collection at my fingertips. I've streamed music from my phone to it- no problem. Taken numerous phone calls and it works great. Used the navigation on a few trips that were over an hour and it worked flawlessly the whole time. Very happy with this unit.

Well I've pulled the trigger on this one
Atoto M4272
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01N6NZQHS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also ordered these parts which I think I need for the installation

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000K4YOCG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0002BF09S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was going to order the rear view camera but can't find one in stock
Will get one later I guess

I'll see if I can document the install a bit and will post as much as I can with pics here later.

The Metra back up camera from BestBuy works really good. The image quality at night is superb.

So my Atoto M4272 arrived from Amazon yesterday.
Only waiting for the wiring harness which was purchased from a different seller and should be here on Tuesday.

Anybody knows whether the factory sub-woofer will work?
This head unit has a sub connector. Is that for running a sub?
I'd hate to lose the base as I've come to appreciate it with certain types of music.
And after the tweeter upgrade it actually sounds great.

I'll post some pics when I start installing the unit.

Well, bummer.
HU is DOA.
Tried it both on the bench and in the car, will not power up.
Anyone know whether the extra wire harness (i-VES harnerss) outlined in yellow marker in the pic will not interfere with aftermarket hook up?
Can anyone tell me what are those 3 wires - yellow, black, white (outlined in blue marker)

My RL does have CD changer and also there is additional dvd in-vehicle entertainment system with sunroof. Lcd screen in the roof for back seats.
Aux audio wire installed in the pocket compartment too.
Also the entertainment unit is connected to the main HU with a FM modulator.
Sub is behind the back seat. Any way to make it work with the Atoto HU?

I will have to return the Atoto back to Amazon and get a replacement, so another week will be gone.
So disappointed.

Why are the attached images not showing?
