Most pads today are ceramic compounds, including stock. I would say you have done very well to go that distance including towing. That says a lot about how well the stock brakes have served you. I assume pads have been changed at least 2 or 3 times in 200K?. Important to flush the brake fluid every 2 or 3 years as well.

Kinda my feeling also.

But it's your choice. There is always something a little better that you generally pay more than a little for, such is life.
I would just question how much you really gain for what you put in to it vs. keeping it all stock.

Why they made the Pilot's brakes larger is interesting in itself. The weight is a little less and the towing limit is under half the Ridgeline's.

Very true.. before considering bigger brakes check to make sure what you have are at least adequate to start with.

Personally went with the power stop severe duty truck kit.

I looked into the pilot upgrade and was set on it at one time but decided against it. While I don't tow regularly these brakes work great and IMO are an improvement over stock. They definitely have more bite, I've probably got about 8k on the setup so far and no problems.

actually not a bad price for heavy-duty 'everything.

Here's a review for Power Stop...

Maybe they are better now.. personally I would stay with OEM or brand name equivalents.. Akebono, Wagner, Raybestos, etc.

Yea, I think I made it 30 seconds before I stopped wasting my time. Maybe when I need a laugh I'll go finish watching.
I would not want that guy touching my brakes. But on the clips that apparently is an issue. I've read more than one complaint on other forums.
Although, even Honda has issues like with the sliding pins.
