I've been building a toolkit for my RL and am now tackling towing.

My understanding is the 7 pin connector isn't all that common actually. Does anyone have a recommended adapter set that would be best for covering general usage in towing?

I don't know what I don't know, so don't want to simply buy an adapter only to find out I didn't think of something else.

nickmv, If you like what I am doing with mine (post #24 on the thread Roger gave you), I would update my post to recommend some lessons that I've learned. The 4/5-pin Hopkins adapter with a 12V socket has never let me down but the 12V extension cord I linked people to has a 15A fuse built in. Since the power available at this harness is 20A, I have popped this fuse a few times. So I would recommend getting an extension cord like this one instead: https://www.amazon.com/TireTek-Premium-Cigarette-Lighter-Extension/dp/B018EOVB56/
