Hey guys I am looking at this remote start...

And wanting to switch to this key.

So my question is will this work with the truck and be able to have to doors locked when the truck is running? Can the remote start function like the factory key fob?

The other thing is they said I have to leave a key in the truck...is this normal? It use to be that way a long time ago.

The second option would be this one...

Any input would be great.

The guy who did mine just used a $30 bypass. Got the viper 5706 installed for 300 out the door.
just for remote start, get yourself a compustar, you'll thank me in about a year. If you wanted something with an alarm, go directed products

Did you do the install yourself? Which one did you go with?

mine had a directed, because they give a better discount to installers . But if i didn't have that option, i would go compustar. The only thing you really gain with an alarm is the shock sensor. The truck already has an imobilizer if theft is a concern of yours
