I got a spark when I changed the battery causing the 120/40 fuse to blow (main fuse that allows power to the entire truck). I changed the fuse yesterday. The truck now turns over but won't start.

It's like no fuel is going to the engine. I checked the fuse for the fuel that one is OK. I googled this issue and some else had this problem but no one replied to the same issue.

No problem.

The relay (not a fuse) is blue, cube-shaped, and can't be visually inspected. You'd have to get a replacement (about $35) and pop it in.

There are pics of it in this thread:

Another thing that can cause your symptom is the engine immobilizer, part of the anti-theft system. It also cuts off the fuel pump if activated. If this were the problem, there would be a green dash light coming on, shaped like a key (as I recall).

If that's the problem, a dealer would have to either replace it if it's bad, or possibly just re-synchronize it to your keys.

It's not a common issue. I only mentioned it as it would cause the engine to crank without catching as yours is doing, and it seems possible that an electrical device could have been damaged during the battery change (since you got a spark large enough to blow that fuse).

Is it fixed? If not you might also track down the fuse(s) for the coils. If the main engine fuse blew, you might also have affected the electircal for the plugs.

The same thing happened when I replaced a battery. It was the 120/40 Battery fuse, along with the IG Coil 15 A fuse. Ran fine after replacing them. The Service Clerk at the parts counter said this was a big problem with Hondas. She knew exactly what had happened to my fuse. However, I had to drive about 100 miles round-trip to get the fuse. So I will get a spare to store just in case this ever happens again. The fuse was $15.
