Re: Zipper to access the in-bed trunk!

I sewed a zipper into the floor of my Avalanche tent. It works nice! Once the tent is up I can sit on the tailgate, unzip the floor and open the trunk to grab a cold one :) The best part is I don't have to worry about where to pack things. Before when I camped I had to be careful not to put things I might need in the trunk.
Brilliant! Great Idea!

I've got the honda bed tent and I've got Z E R O complaints about it. It took a bit to set up the 1st time around, but after that...it's been easy peasy.
And it also has zippered openings for the rear compartment and the side panel outlet pocket so you can access everything without removing the tent.
And it's perfect because it takes up minimal space when tucked away in its bag.

But what a PITA to have to clear the bed. Plus the bed needs to be clean (ie compost, carcasses and oil free). No fun setting up in the dark.
Great for staying in one place, don't need the truck for errands.

End up getting the RTT. Cost way more, PITA to store vs. the fast/easy setup.
