Yesterday I took my Ridgeline to the tire shop to have the tires rotated. While driving away noticed the noise coming from the right front wheel had gotten much louder and continous. It sounded like something was rubbing on the brake backing plate. Today I pulled the wheel , caliper and rotor. I noticed some heavy rust on the rotor and took a hammer and flap sander on an angle grinder and took off as much of it as I could. I reinstalled the items and it is all quiet now. I had previously wondered if it was a bearing or cv joint. I guess it was just a rusty rotor. Notes: 2009 ridgeline, original rotors, 2nd set of pads 110K miles.:act035:
