Most do, but State Farm is one of the larger insurers that does not cover windshield chip repairs. I don't know who BC has for insurance, though....
Interesting; State Farms (Fire and Casualty) in Pennsylvania covers windshield repairs 100%. I purchased my comprehensive in my insurance with $0 deductible because I have had frequent windshield breaks over the years here in PA.

I also heard (through another thread) that these acoustic windshields were very "soft" and subject to breakage.

I think that schultp did it the "right way" by going through his dealership, and I think I would do it the same way if I needed mine replaced.

my body guy put a Honda glass in, all is perfect.

All sensing systems work just as they did before, no calibration needed.

Chances are near 100% that the side trim retainer clips will break upon trim removal. There are 3 on each side, have them on hand if you are planning a glass swap.
I just re-read this entire thread; does anyone happen to have the part number for the clips? I think that adding it to this thread will be useful.

Thank you!

I'm pretty sure it varies by state. In Texas, State Farm no longer offers less than a $100 deductible for comprehensive.
I was thinking that might be the difference. Here in Pennsyltucky they must want more of our money so they are devising ways to get it! :nerd:
