Someone on the Honda Accord forum went through this. Bottom line, use OE glass only. There were problems aiming the camera with aftermarket glass. Granted, the aftermarket industry may have since caught up but the only way to be sure is to use OEM glass regardless of whatever lip service someone gives you. Although out of date, this was the situation in 2014. The links below may help when discussing with your insurance company.

Stone collisions, None. Deflectors on my trucks only help to protect the front area of the hood. Had to replace a couple deflectors damaged by road debris over the years. Wind shield will still takes rock impacts (chips, cracks). The only thing that might get deflected, maybe small bugs. So if your looking to protect the wind shield only, don't waste you time. If looking to protect the nose of the hood, yes, that's why I have the low-profile deflector on both my Honda's.
Agreed, my experience is the leading edge of the hood takes a beating so now the low profile hood deflector can. I have the OEM on the RL that I installed myself and the AVS Aeroskins on our CRV and Accord which were easy to install as well. I also do the gutter guard behind the grill just for that extra bit of protection. The RL's upper portion of the grille is a little on the open side so it can't hurt.

Acoustic glass is apparently two pieces separated by a film. Not good to know that sensing can be compromised by non oe glass. Hopefully, the next generations of sensing will not involve a camera behind the windshield.

A few years back Businessweek had an article about how insurance companies were looking for ways to come up with additional sources of revenue to offset premium reductions due to sensing. Now, they won't give O.E. glass to keep they system working properly. Shame.
