ScanGauge II codes for 2020

17291 Views 67 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  birchman17
Anyone have the codes for a 2020 for Gear and Trans Temp?

Tried the 2019 codes that someone posted, and VCM works but nothing on TFT and GER.

Searched scangauge and cannot find anything for 2020 Ridgeline.

Update:
The (alternative) trans temps ATF looks like it works in the 2020 instead of the TFT.

Sorry, I’m no help to your question, but I’ll add that I just purchased my 2019 RTL and looking for scangauge II codes.
The codes I found on the scan gauge website do not work. At least non that I have tried so far.
If anyone has links to codes, I’m all ears!
Here's the 2019 x-gauge codes

Update: I've been corresponding with the folks at Linear Logic and I'm going to run a data logger on my 2020 and send the results back to them so we get all the available codes for 2020 Ridgeline.

I know this is older thread, but did 2020 owners with scangauge ever get this working?
I am working on my own (opensource) dash computer, and found that the 222201 mode/pid which worked on 2014 Ridgeline, 2019 Pilot EX-L (6AT), and I'm assuming 2017-2019 Ridgelines (6AT)? for getting at ATF temps, doesnt work with my 2020 RL (ZF9). But after some digging and reverse engineering, I think I have found what I want at 223083.
Curious if the data from scangauge x-gauges for 229023 works for folks here? (I could not get my RL to respond on that one... only at mode 22, pids 30xx)

I'll start another thread about Torque and similar apps for PID format (I think it's command [mode/pid] 223083 and formula O*(9/5)-40 for F or O-40 for C).
Received a data logger from them and ran it, then sent it back via USPS on 3/17/2020. LL indicates they have not received it. Looks like it is "lost in the mail"....
@ddn22 would you be willing to try this:
Code:
TXD: EFF1223083
RXF: C32200000000
RXD: 3808
MTH: 00090005FFD8
NAME: ATF
Interesting, not sure then how SG needs to be configured to get at this data. I do see on my ELM327 dongle (vgate icar pro) that this is showing on my 2020 RTL-E

Code:
>223083
18 DA F1 1E 10 27 62 30 83 FF FF 80
18 DA F1 1E 21 03 00 00 00 00 00 04
18 DA F1 1E 22 02 AE 00 00 64 8F 87
18 DA F1 1E 23 00 72 F0 80 00 1B 00
18 DA F1 1E 24 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
18 DA F1 1E 25 00 00 00 00 00 55 55
I think atf temp is 10th byte on third row, e.g. 0x64. Value is in degrees C referenced from -40C. So 0x64 = 100 decimal - 40 degrees offset = 60C = 140F)
The code posted above in post #3 works on my 2019 RTL. Code is named as TFT for Transmission fluid temp.
In the first post, the updated alternative code, named "ATF," displays transmission temp on my SG2 (v4.53) connected to my 2020 RTL-E (9-speed).
yeah, the 2017-2019 models have 6AT vs 2020 having ZF9 transmission, and the values appear to be in a different place at a different PID.
@HOLLYW00D ok great to know. For some reason SG2 seems to get the values in a different way (and different place) than other scan tools. They know something we don't ;)
The TFT SG codes in post #3 work fine in our '17 Rigi. I also monitor engine coolant temp CT1 (at the heads) and cold radiator tank CT2.........not catalyst temp.

What TFTs are you seeing in your 9 spd 2020? How does TFT rise compared to ECT (CT1)? Driving conditions/ambient temps? Any towing?

Pretty sure last 4 digits of TXD need to be 8220, as shown in post #3.
Are fuel pressures really thousands of psi?
Are fuel pressures really thousands of psi?
From what I understand, yes, on DI engines. Low pressure electric pump supplies fuel the the high pressure mechanical (cam driven) pump that feeds the injectors.
