I don't think I would feel comfortable with that on the back window.

I read up on this a while ago, it seems like a great idea. While most reviews I saw were great, there were a few bad ones. The key is to have a clean surface to use the suction cup. To me, it's not really of if this thing will fail...it's when. It's almost like skydiving, while generally safe...it only takes once to f*ck things up bad.
me either. I wouldn't do it
My thought was that it may come loose and the bike may fall against the window. Also if driving over bumpy terrain could the window be loosened from vibration?

Another good point I think is the fact that anybody could take the rack off if you leave it attached or you would have to remove every time and clean the glass every time to put it on again and again...

Thanks for the feedback guys!

After picking up the my truck I figure this is how I will transport my bikes:

That'll work! At the very least, for the time being.

Nice fatty!
Hey Guys,

Each SeaSucker vacuum cup is pull rated to 210lbs, believe it or not, but our racks are the safest on the road. We have been making vehicle racks for 7 years, we have customers putting 15k bikes on the top of their cars no problem. We understand how many may be skeptical at first, it certainly isn't something we are accustomed to. However, this is the same technology that's used to insert gigantic panes of glass into high-rise buildings. Asking these cups to carry a bike weighing less than 40lbs is giving them a vacation! We have passed the strictest crash tests and withstood high G forces on a drift track, zoomed around a race track at 140mph, and used the cups to pick up a VW bus!

It's not necessary to spit shine the surface every time you travel, we just ask that it isn't excessively dirty. We also have locking devices to ensure some jerk doesn't run off with your bike.

If you're looking for a small, easy, and convenient way to transport your bike, give our racks a chance.

I appreciate your response, but how do you stop someone to remove the rack from the truck when you are not using it to transport your bike? Is there a way to lock the sea sucker falcon to the tracks glass?

I'm sure you could just release the suction and put it in the cab, but I am more concerned that (1) is $170! You then have to do something with the front wheel plus the back wheel might slide side to side unless you strap that down. It just doesn't seem to be a good solution.

White,

Yes there is, using SeaSucker's cable anchor will effectively lock both the bike and rack to the vehicle. Simply run a locking mechanism through the cable anchor, through the bike rack, and then through the bike. Everything secured.

Randucci,

The bike is so securely fastened to the fork mount, the rear tire will not move at all. We have tested this extensively at extreme conditions. These racks are flat out incredible, I think the only way to truly appreciate them is to try them out for yourself. Please search reviews of our product on google, you will be hard pressed to find many bad reviews.

We have a revolutionary way of carrying the front tire that the industry has never seen before. We just released this device called the "Hogg" this September. Please take a moment to check it out below:
