Can someone tell me if it's an issue when I shift my 2006 Ridgeline from drive to reverse, reverse to drive and I hear a very obvious noise when they go into gear? I have 3 CRV,s in my driveway and they don't have this. Is this normal to start happening as the vehicle gets older. I currently have 109,000 miles on the truck. Please help

It happens every time. It's hard to describe but it makes a very obvious cu clunk into each position. D to R, R to D, not so bad going into park. The dealer i bought it from (used) said it is working perfectly fine and it's just normal wear and tear for an 06 with 108,000 miles. I'm thinking maybe too much play in the drive shaft? I just hope it's not the tranny? Please help

+1 Motor Mounts

Have someone watch the engine while shifting.

Is the pickup perfectly still when you shift D->R or R->D, or are you just slightly moving/rolling? That can make a difference in noise level & shift feel, IME.

I'm bringing back to where I bought it tomorrow. I will definitely mention the motor mounts to them
