Those of you who've received fancy "custom" brochures in the mail may already have these colors. But for the rest of us, this cell phone snapshot of a salesman's Ridgeline pocket guide may be as close as we get this week.

If you're interested in the Forest Mist Metallic, in person, the sample didn't look so dark as the photo makes it out to be. (Look and Modern Steel Metallic for a clue to how much darker this is.) There is also a hint of yellow in it in the Forest Mist sample that doesn't come across in the photo. It looked to me to be a cross between the Pilot and the HRV greens. Closer to the HRV. I'm not sure that it's as dark as those greens either. The Deep Scarlet Pearl looked true to color for me; it matches the many photos of dark red 2017 Ridgelines that Honda has released. Hope this is helpful.

Not 100% sure that the Acura color is the same as this one. It's hard to tell from (guessing) 1.75" x 1.25" paint samples, but it looked warmer than the Acura color, which is kind of a green version of Modern Steel Metallic. In other words more of a cool color. But who knows, you might well be right. I know the MDX uses the same platform. Is it built in the same plant?

Thanks! This was just what I was looking for. I'm going to have to check the lots for other models in these colors to compare. Not sure if the Deep Scarlet has a purple or brown hue.
This paint sampler is a little muddy, probably due to the lighting in the showroom. This color doesn't give off a secondary color. The Obsidian Pearl gives off a purple flash in the right lighting, for example. But Deep Scarlet Pearl is a steady dark red with no brown or purple highlights:

Copperhead Red Pearl was, I believe, a mistake made by Honda's PR department -- or it may have been an early pre-production thing. The only pictures I've ever seen that showed the G2 Ridgeline in red were all Deep Scarlet Pearl. This pamphlet whose color sample page I took a photo of it is exclusive to the Ridgeline and was passed out to salesman across the US. Whatever decisions they may have made early on, Honda has clearly decided that Deep Scarlet Pearl is the red they are releasing. There's one coming into a dealership in my area on June 21. I don't think we're going to see Copperhead Red Pearl. And Dark Cherry was a G1 color. Only a handful of the colors carried over between G1 and G2. I believe the color sample shown at the top of this thread is the final selection of colors for the 2017 Ridgeline.

I have a deposit down on a Deep Scarlet that is scheduled to come in this week. Not sure I am interested in it because of the beige interior. Dealer is prepared to trade it for silver/black once I see it and decide if I want it or not

Thanks for the clarification.

I was hoping for a "copper-colored", or reddish orange Copperhead color ... :(
Yeah that would be real nice. Distinctive.

Is it an RTL-E by chance? You may be within swapping range of my dealer in the MetroWest Boston area. Mind sharing the name of your dealership? Silver is pretty easy to find in New England and maybe everywhere. Not sure about the black interior.

Its an RTL-E at Peter's in Nashua, NH. The sales manager printed out the June allocations for the dealers in the area and there were a half dozen Silver/Black in a 100 mile radius. He said he couldn't make the trade until they were on the lot. So the wildcard would be whether they have been pre-sold.

If you decide you want the silver, that would make the second red RTL-E in the area that I'm aware of.

My biggest hurdle to getting a Ridgeline turned out to be something I didn't expect: trying to sell or trade my immaculate 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 Double Cab Limited with only 6000 mi. Honda dealers seem to look askance at pickup trucks. The few I've talked to haven't been very close to KBB dealer trade-in value. My Tacoma is a real standout but people have to see it to get that. Anyway, that's why I'm tracking red RTL-E's so that whenever I do get clear of my Tacoma I can hopefully pick up the Ridgeline I want quickly.

Oh, and anecdotally, the dealers that I'm talking to have not sold out of their June allocations. They may have presold one or two but they've got product coming in very shortly that will be for sale. You can tell that's the case when they offer you a test drive. I've had two dealers offer to contact me for a test drive over the next week or two when their new Ridgelines come in.

I prefer the black interior but I told the dealer to call me before he makes the swap so I can see the red in person. If i like the color combo, I may just keep it. I don't want beige because my wife will fret every mark.

I would think you could sell your Taco locally or on Craigslist pretty quickly. They are a very popular truck that is #1 in holding resale value. Like the Ridgeline, there are many who prefer Gen2 as much as the Gen2.5.

When I was helping get my brother look for used trucks a couple years ago, Tacos were hard to come by, and high-priced for the good ones. There is a demand for them. Especially those who are unaware of the Ridgeline (you may want to sell in the next few weeks before word gets out - ha!).

Looks like Honda jumped off the bold and daring color cliff again. Not.
