I recently purchased and installed a new head unit.

It has the option of feeding a mono sub @ 70w/2ohms instead of the rear speakers. The rear speakers are not that important to me. I'm running stock speakers now (with the exception of the tweeter upgrade) and am considering installing an OEM sub as there are plenty of take outs around and could be had for cheap.
...what are the specs for the stock sub?
...will it work?

qs, I did this mod for my RL with a Pioneer DEH-8400BH. Works well for me. The rear speakers were useless.

Read my post regarding this mod, http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1326442#post1326442

Below diagram is from your OM, page 17.
