Rolling down is fine. but when i trigger the switch to automatically roll it up the window get to about 3 inches from the top and then rolls back down. only way i can get it to roll up is to hold the switch until its to the top.

any ideas?

Did you try the power window reset procedure? I don't remember exactly what is involved...so you might want to do a bit of research (and I think it is in the owners manual...but if memory serves, it's something like roll the window down all the way, hold the button for 10 seconds, then roll the window all the way up, and hold the button for 10 seconds.

Are there window shades installed? I have the in-track type and they sometimes cause the window to go back down, particularly in cooler weather.

yes i have shades. i reset the switch and the problem seems to have been fixed. thx
