I just installed the Tac 3" textured finish nerf bars on my 17 Sport. These bars only cost about $170 (Amazon) and I think they are definitely worth that. Quality seems pretty good and are very easy to install. I like the look of the OEM running boards, however, they stick out a little far. So far I think these are cool.

Look nice and not a bad price. Wonder if they are lighter than oem.

I think the shipping weight was 34lbs.
From what I've seen, water can and will in get around those step pads.

If yours were like mine, there's no where for that water to go.

I drilled 3 small holes evenly along the bottom to let it drain.

I will be doing that today. Thanks for the warning.

I had those same nerf bars on my silverado for 3 years, after about 2 years they started to rust on the bottom. For the price though they are hard to beat.

Question, do the step pads come off and go back on rather easily? Wondering if I can remove them and try to seal them somehow with silicone something.

they snap on and off, but i don't think i'd risk breaking a mounting tab for that.

woller them out to ovals so they weep properly, circular holes will not
