Tac 3" Nerf Bars

Quality seems pretty good and are very easy to install. I like the look of the OEM running boards, however, they stick out a little far. So far I think these are cool.

From what I've seen, water can and will in get around those step pads.

If yours were like mine, there's no where for that water to go.

I drilled 3 small holes evenly along the bottom to let it drain.

Question, do the step pads come off and go back on rather easily? Wondering if I can remove them and try to seal them somehow with silicone something.
