How can you lock the tailgate on 17 ridgeline?

The tailgate does not have a lock. The trunk under the bed locks with the doors.

You can add an aftermarket lock like pop&lock and I believe its dynolock

Both good ideas and another member installed a sliding lock barrel bolt on his tailgate. The sliding bolt lock is low tech but effective & cheap.

DynoLock, PopAndLock, those ARE or LEER tops that have the ends overlapping the tailgate

ARE has one LSII with paint match and Undercover also SE textured black or smooth paintable.

You can always try duct tape!
