I recently installed a Thule 422XT Xsporter on my 2nd gen.
I got the older Xsporter because I found it new-in-box on Craigslist and got it for $400.
Planning on getting a rooftop tent. Also for transporting canoe & kayak.

Installed Superstrut rail.
Got T-bolts on Amazon and made it fit the slot using a grinder. Everything else was from Home Depot.
I had to move the rear mounts almost all the way back so the trunk lid can open.
*I'm not an engineer so hopefully the rack does not sheer off. Seems sturdy when I do the shake and hang test on the rack.

Hello. I have been researching the best side rails set up to support a variety of different bed rack systems for my new RL. I recently came across a post with installation of Tacoma truck bed side rails. I am considering installing those. I assume that I will be able to install the Thule Xsporter rack with the Tacoma side rails. Am I incorrect in that assumption?
Thanks
