tighten fuel cap light

Hey guys...may have been asked before I don't know.

I have a 2013 Ridge sport. Today the tighten fuel cap light came on. Checked it a few times and the light doesn't go off.

Is there issues with the evap purge valve on these trucks by any chance? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's still under warranty, but I'd rather fix it myself.

Do a search you will find plenty of info going back years on your issue. Some may have different outcomes just depends.
We have had the truck over 9yrs 156,000miles have had this problem a very few times never taken to dealer. Light did go off on it's own but everybody did not have same outcome.
