Isn't it weird that if you change your battery you lose your clock? In all of our cases??? Can't wait for Aug 17. I'm ain't soldering anything.

Is August 17th a rumor or did Honda say that would happen? My 2011 is still saying January 1, 2002 and the time is wrong - except twice a day.

Thanks, zroger73! I went to the bottom to see if there were any updates. I had read the thread back in March when I joined. Must still be some dead brain cells from back in my drinking days.

I was told in January that they would have a fix for this in Aug. So today Aug. 10th. I called my local dealer, who acted like I was speaking a foreign language. I just got off the phone with Honda. They told me that a fix should roll out sometime between the 9th & 17th. and that I would not have to take my Ridgeline to the dealer. We'll see.

On or after August 17, 2022, when the system’s internal calendar recalibrates, the GPS time signal becomes valid again. The clock will show the correct GPS time but most likely be off by 1 hour because the system’s internal calendar interprets the daylight saving time (DST) change incorrectly.

Now, the customer can adjust the time correctly, and it won’t be affected every time the vehicle’s power is cycled off and then on. The correct time will stay on through the next DST change based on the system internal calendar.

According to Honda, the DST feature and date will never work properly again, although you should be able to set the time manually.

2010 RTL with 300G bought brand new. It's been a great medium sized truck. This is exactly what happened this morning. I reset the clock to the proper hour. Does anyone know how to reset the date? it still says January 2002. I tried it through the calendar, but it didn't work.

I just ran some errands and noticed that my clock on the radio & calendar were correct! but the calendar is now showing 2003, come on Honda get it right.

Time and date are not the same.

The date (e.g., August 17, 2022) will never be correct again. It's permanently broken.

The time (e.g., 10:50 AM) is once again correct, but you'll need to turn off the Auto Daylight Saving Time feature since it will no longer work correctly because it relies on the correct date which is no longer correct. You'll need to manually adjust the hour twice per year until or unless Daylight Saving Time is eliminated or made permanent.
