I am getting ready to have my timing belt done, 2010 right at 95k and has done lots of towing. I have read through threads and got a headache trying to get all the info together. so far I have found that I should either use oem parts or get the aisin kit from rock auto http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raf...om+Search+for+AISIN+TKH002&blanktemplate=true
looks like about $100 difference in price. if I do get the oem parts I will need
19200-RDV-J01 WATER PUMP (YAMADA) 163.30 112.68
14400-RCA-A01 BELT, TIMING 68.47 45.87
14510-RCA-A01 ADJUSTER, TIMING BELT 124.40 85.84
14550-RCA-A01 IDLER, TIMING BELT 54.98 37.94
91212-R70-A02 OIL SEAL (41X56X7) (NOK) 8.12 5.60
91213-RCA-A01 OIL SEAL (39X53X8) (NOK) x2 7.45 5.14
I know the seals are optional, at the end. does this look like a complete list of parts I will need to do the job? I know I will also need antifreeze, do I need 1 or 2 gallons?
I also plan on replacing the plugs, $10 each at rock auto as well for the ngk
I did my Toyota myself, but the weather is getting colder and I have a friend that is a very good mechanic and has a nice garage he runs as well as a lift, said labor for everything would be around $220
looks like the aisin kit is getting quite a bit of good reviews and that $100 savings would be half the labor but if the oem parts are that much better I would buy those instead. I bought the truck new and plan on keeping it for a long time.
