Tonno pro tri-fold review(with pics)
While I had at one time extensively researched tonneau covers I just could't swallow the $600-$1200+ most companies want for one so it got put on the back burner for the last 3yrs. Well I was surfing thru amazon last week and saw the tonno pro tri-fold for $279 and free shippng. It was just to good of a price to pass up so I jumped on it. After ordering I did some quick searching and read some reviews and it rated fairly well so I was pleased with the purchase. There also does not seem to be much info on this forum on this particular cover so I figured I'd share some pics and info about it.
First impression when opening the box.

All the parts including the tools need to do the job.

Sorry no pics of the actual install, but it's pretty straight forward remove three bolts, intstal rails, tighten tonno down with supplied equipment and your done. Install is suppose to take 5min or so they say, it took about 30 but I was not expecting to do it in 5min either. Also the tonno pro logo on the back kinda hard to see in the pic but it was originally a blue/white combo but I plasti dipped it black.

Heres where the problems start, the clamps severely limit how much the trunk can open. This is not the end of the world as most tonno's for the RL have the same limitations but a smaller clamp or if the clamp tightened when you pushed it up rather than pull down would have made a big difference.

Tonno pulled back and trunk open, rails do get in the way a bit but again this is with most tonno's with the RL. I opens far enough do do anything you need to do.

Heres the biggest problem IMO, the tonno won't even tri fold as it hits the pillars.

You can force it in and as it wears/loosens up maybe it will get better but this is kinda a bummer. Again its not the end of the world as I would likely just take if off if I actually need the whole bed for something.
Overall its not at bad cover seems to be built pretty well and with quality products but fitment is less than perfect. I think this tonno fall into the you get what you pay for category and if you can deal with some of the imperfections you have a nice looking cover for $279.

Funny you should mention that. Same issue with my Extang, one side was always loose but seemed to always seal fine once it was up against the front of the bed.
Extang uses an adhesive, not DB tape. So I used GOOP to reseal the loose end, clamping it over night. It seems like new! I just did that this past weekend.
I am serious, about the only thing that appears different from your top are the rear clamps. I like the handles used on yours instead of the pull down ones I hassle with.
