That is very nice and certainly looks competitive with brands selling for more. Thanks for the photos!
Nope its quiet as can be.Is there alot of noticable sound at freeway speeds? looks good.
Funny you should mention that. Same issue with my Extang, one side was always loose but seemed to always seal fine once it was up against the front of the bed.Update
After almost 2 months the rear seal that goes up along the front of the bed(under the rear window area) has fallen off. The crappy tape lost its grip and the seal was laying in my bed the other day. Going to try some quality 3m outdoor double sided tape and that should hold it pretty good.
Lol I actually like your clamps and was thinking of loosing the handles and just use turn knobs to gain a few inches of clearance for the trunk. The handle nice and on most trucks would be a great feature but with the RL they severely limit how much you can open the trunk.Funny you should mention that. Same issue with my Extang, one side was always loose but seemed to always seal fine once it was up against the front of the bed.
Extang uses an adhesive, not DB tape. So I used GOOP to reseal the loose end, clamping it over night. It seems like new! I just did that this past weekend.
I am serious, about the only thing that appears different from your top are the rear clamps. I like the handles used on yours instead of the pull down ones I hassle with.
I'm sure I could and wait 7-14 days to get the same crappy tape/adhesive they used originally. Or I could just buy quality 3m double sided outdoor tape for $5 at home depot and be confident it will never come off again on its own.Looks good. Can you contact the manufacturer and have them send you the 3M tape?
