I have not been able to find this information, but under just what winter conditions would one want to use the "snow" mode? Freshly fallen deep snow I get, but what about the more common packed snow or icy packed snow or black ice or slush or the many other types of "wintery less than ideal traction"?

Just which would make one want to use the "snow" mode and does use of studs and/or winter tires matter in this decision?

A bit early yet for this but sooner or later "Winter is Coming"

The only way you'll figure this out or any of you who have bought, is to drive it in snow and ice :D.

I wish they had a rain setting but I imagine normal is fine for it.
