Everyone is discussing their VIN number, and what 'number' truck they are. I can't find the VIN link...nor does it tell me in a 'little kids way'...how to decipher. Can I get some hand-holding here for you ROCers?

We have the number 2 then HJYK, then '12345' then the letter H and again '123456' after the H. Can someone phleeeeese inform me simply how to read the VIN? Would my truck be truck 12,345?
And where do I find the 'date' of it's manufacture (as with the door lock updates?). The dealer still has our book; and we hope to get it tonight with the extra keys and such.

Here are 2 threads that should answer your question about VIN numbers.

The manufacture date should be in the driver side door jamb where the tire inflation pressure recommendations are located. Or on your window sticker.

The search function in this topic's case is a little inadequate. It cannot search for the term 'VIN' so you have to enter in 'numbers'. But then you get 7 pages of stuff to paw through. I will close down this thread because the above links should privide you with the answers that you seek.
