I've had these sitting in my truck for a while and I'd really like to know what they are. I'm not certain they're part of the truck but I think so.

It may have something to do with the fact my glovebox has no damper/stopper, but I understand that is caused primarily by a missing piston.

Does your glove box open so far that all of the items will fall out of it when open? I imagine someone changed the cabin air filter and did not put the stoppers back in, either because they got frustrated with them or just did not care.

I installed the damper piston that was mentioned, on my glovebox.

Same thing happened to me first time I took it to Iffy Lube. They changed the cabin air filter and forgot to put those stops back in and didn't reconnect the piston. First time I opened the glove box all my stuff fell to the floor. No more iffy lube.
