Took it for a quick round trip to Pittsburg. Averaged 25.6 for the trip. Got back and did an oil change and tire rotation. Checked brake pads at 83k still have over half the pad material left.

I am heading to the 'Burgh later this month. It will be my first trip with the Ridgeline. With my Gladiator I would average an amazing 15MPG... Hoping the Ridgeline does better. We are rolling from NC. What was your average speed (I seem to have a heavy foot - average around 80Mph).

Had the timing belt package done last week @ 102,716. Cost me $1300.

Today I did the tire rotation, oil/filter change and brake flush @ 103,571.

Next week, I will do the ATF and brake flush on my wife Odyssey.

I attempted to pull a tree trunk over in my Ridgeline today. My son said these ponderosa pine trees are used as recovery points for 4WD vehicles that get stuck while going off-road, so my expectations were low.

The Ridgeline did not move it even after cutting some of the roots. In the end we had to cut it down. Originally it was about 40 feet tall. We cut off the top without any casualties. Did not even hit the fence 10 feet away. It fell slowly and where we wanted it to.

Absolutely nothing. My 2019 RTL has been at the dealer awaiting a new transmission for 3 weeks.

I put in OCB Glove box organizer. Never thought something so simple could make sure a difference. I great idea brought to the market place. I love it. Makes the glove box so much more practical and usable. Easy to find everything now and it takes up only about .001% of space. Really well done. I hope they get rich selling this.
I installed the SilverHolder Dynamic (sequential start up) Car Hood Light Strip White 70" Exterior LED Strip Lights today. The length was perfect for the RL. It came out pretty good. I connected it to a ground screw in the hole on the passenger side (opposite of what we use for the grounding bolt to jump the battery) and to a 7.5 amp fuse in the fuse block on the passenger side of the engine bay (power). It literally took about 15-20 minutes. I am not sure how to upload a short video, so I could not share the sequential start up feature.

I saw a vehicle with something like that the other day and had to do a double-take because I thought it was factory.

@Sparkland Can you take a pic of the strip with the hood open. Curious to see how that looks and the power connection at the fuse block.

The 70" light strip fits perfectly. I looked for an appropriate fuse in the fuseblock on the driver's side but none of them were switchable power, so I ended up using the ones on the passenger side. The light strip has sticky tape on both sides so it can be installed with the wiring on either side. I merely took off the double sided tape on the top side and rubbed off the adhesive. The light strip fits nicely underneath the plastic cover for a clean install.

I used the 7.5 amp fuse slot on the right because the one of the left still had power when the vehicle was off.

I installed bug/rock mesh screen to protect the radiator. I purchased them for the 2022 Sorento I sold after two months, and with only slight modification they worked on the Ridgeline.

I will monitor the engine temp to make certain the screen does not have an adverse affect.

My headlight has been taking on water on my 21 Ridgeline. I asked the dealer if it was covered under my extended warranty. It was not, don’t cover leaks, but they will replace it for $1,100 🤮. So I decided to find the leak, get rid of the water, and seal the light at the leak. Taking the light out requires removing the whole front end of the car. It was a pain in the ass and took multiple days since it took a lot longer to get rid of the water than I thought it would, but I saved $1,100.

Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous how much headlight assemblies cost these days. I'm sure I would have been pretty peeved if that happened to me, but probably would have tried the same thing. Kudos to you and glad it worked out well. (y)

Good job! This looks like major work! Any chance you could write up the DIY sequence? It could be valuable for other forum members (and I may need it downstream)

How far out of the OEM warranty period was your RL, @Gozags?

2,000 miles. In addition, they said it was a known issue with a service bulletin. It seems like if it’s a known issue the warranty should be extended on it like when they extended the warranty on their transmissions in the 2000s.
