Hi Ridgeline Family,

I am curious to what vehicle you drove before purchasing your Ridgeline. I am also curious about what other vehicles that are currently in your garage.

I sold my amazing 2001 Toyota 4Runner 4WD because I wanted a pickup truck. I was initially looking at 1st gen double cab Tundras and 1st/2nd gen crew cab Tacomas. I was not able to find a Toyota that was in my price range with:

-a clean title (no accidents)
-extensive maintenance history
-less than 120k miles
-no rust

My other choice was a 1st gen Ridgeline. I test drove one for my in-laws a few years back and was truly impressed. It drove well and was very spacious. Ridgelines are dog+car seat friendly. The Tacoma would almost be perfect if they had more legroom in the back.

One random day, a well-maintained Ridgeline appeared locally. It met my requirements and was about 100-miles away. This Ridgeline, El Ridgechero, was added to our garage.
It joined a 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited V8 4WD and a 2006 Acura TSX.

Thanks,
El Ridge

Nice looking 4Runner, Here’s a Picture of the fleet circa Jan. ‘19, and a little over 400k miles driven by myself, my wife and my MIL. The del sol, had 232,XXX on that day it had been in the family since Jun. ‘02 when it was acquired from the 1st owner at 28k, Ridgeline had about 105k, Fit was about 70k, and Accord Hybrid was about 30k.

Life changes, family health issues and a recent accident and its been sold, replaced or totaled. I’ll put a current picture of the fleet, in my signature up after this weekends detailing...

Nice fleet, all. Keep them coming!

@Carsmak- I am sorry to hear about the health issues and car accidents. I hope that you and your family are well.

@GhostYK1- I like your garage. You keep your cars clean. That Camaro is bitchin!

Owned before:
98 Ford Escort
95 Dodge Caravan

Current:
99 Isuzu Trooper (bought used in 2004)
09 Subaru Tribeca (bought new)
19 Ridgeline RTL (bought new in 2018)

When I donated the Caravan and shopped around, was choosing between Tacoma and Ridgeline. Since had Trooper for offroad, ended up with RL for better space and ride quality. Used RL as my daily commute car, before the WFH era began.

My 2008 RT was purchased last year to replace my old Home Depot/Lowe's hauler, a 1998 S-10 2WD pick-up (overheated, cracked head bolt and likely blown head gasket).

‘10 Toyota Corolla S

Previous Vehicles:
‘16 Ford Explorer Sport
‘10 Mitsubishi Outlander
‘07 Mitsubishi Endeavor

Other vehicles considered:
Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab
Ford Ranger Crew Cab
Ford F-150 Crew Cab

I first learned my coveted GS was not functional when I tore a small piece of leather on it while putting a side table in the back seat. My last lesson learned was during the beginning of the pandemic When people were losing their mind buyingtoilet paper. I couldn’t believe the parking lot at Costco and how panicked people were. In that moment it got to me. Luxury sedan or not, I thought I’d have to make some off-roading maneuvers to get out of the chaos. That’s when I started looking to purchase another SUV. Once I seriously gave pickup trucks a look, I found this one. I test drove it and love it.

My car before my 17' Ridgeline was a 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4, with about 310HP at the wheels! It was a riot to drive, but I needed something more practical, after driving it 14 years!

I had a leased '2014 Audi A4. When the lease was up I wasn't thrilled about the market and ubered everywhere for about 6 months. Sometime in August of '17 I put in the order and had to wait another month for the delivery in October of '17.
