I have 5s cubby cover as well. Wife still thinks it was standard with the vehicle!
I have a spare flashlight, spare sunglasses and napkins and wet ones in a plastic bag in there. The cubby cover "for me" is icing on the cake in the vehicle. I hope that makes sense.
That spot is a good spot for easy access nit nacks.
