That's about the handiest spot there is for things you don't really want to put away when on an extended drive, e.g. road trip. If it fits there, you can stow it there temporarily (small snacks, phone, toll tokens, literally anything that's not too big). All of this presumes a co-pilot!

I guess that's where I'm coming from, it's not the most convenient place for me as a driver to keep things handy. My wife on the other hand will probably love it if we ever take my truck on a long road trip. But for me, driving back and forth to work or around town, I can't imagine using it for anything.
.... well that shouldn't be too surprising! You don't use the back seat cup holders either if you're in the driver's seat! :act060: :act024: :act024: :act029:

I should have mentioned my best bud forever that rides there with us.
You can see we also have a couple of loose items (pencil, floss, etc.), but Shiloh keeps us company non-stop.

Shiloh was the best dog ever, of course! He grew up with our kids, and loved the snow in the Sierras (as seen in this pic). And now he goes everywhere with us still. It's appropriate that his pic is a bit dog-eared. He loved the snow & going on those long road trips with us in the RL. It's nice to still have him around.
