Still trying to figure out what this tray or shelf above the passenger glove box is practical for. It's a bit of a reach from the driver seat, so the only thing I can really figure is a place for my wife to put her cell phone while it's charging. I usually put mine in one of the cupholders to hold it while charging.

If you have some practical idea of what this tray can be used for (in a primarily solo daily driver vehicle), I'd love to hear it.

That's about the handiest spot there is for things you don't really want to put away when on an extended drive, e.g. road trip. If it fits there, you can stow it there temporarily (small snacks, phone, toll tokens, literally anything that's not too big). All of this presumes a co-pilot!
I guess that's where I'm coming from, it's not the most convenient place for me as a driver to keep things handy. My wife on the other hand will probably love it if we ever take my truck on a long road trip. But for me, driving back and forth to work or around town, I can't imagine using it for anything.
