What have you hauled lately?

*** POST your pics of hauling and/or towing ***

Just thought it would be fun to see the various uses of the G2 Ridgeline's versatility in hauling stuff in the bed and/or towing... I've seen a number of pics in various threads but thought it would be good to put all into one thread.

This was mine over the weekend hauling musical instrument/PA gear for a gig on Saturday night, with room in the front and back seats for my wife and 22 yr old son to help "roadie"... I found that it can haul as much gear as my 2005 Chevy Avalanche did with the RL's back seat flip up and in bed trunk.

Guitars, Amp head in roadcase, 3 level toolbox with cables and gear, 18" powered subwoofer, (2x) 12" powered speakers, Effects rack, Mixer, 4x12 speaker cab (backseat area), various mic/speaker stands, etc.

Beautiful blue Ridgeline....just like the one I bought last week, lol.

Interested in your hauling experience as well. I did maybe a little over 3k lbs with my G1 - no problem - but nothing with the G2 yet.
First G2 hauling run of what will no doubt be many, as with my G1.

Hauling a freezer, in January, in Canada ........ WHAAAT! View attachment 398726
Redundancy :)
No, never had one installed, I don't carry much in the bed that requires cover. Guess if I had one, then I just put the frezzer stuff in there?
Yes, but if it contained food you'd want a strong cover to keep all those polar bears out :).
Just the entry level, no frills Tonno Pro 42-600 Tri Fold cover.
Been looking at the Tonno Pro online too - looks nice and sounds like it performs well for a reasonable price. The model # for a G2 is 42-601.
I have had it for 4.5yrs and the only thing I did was use an industrial adhesive (from Home Depot) to glue the leading edge of the seal back on the cover. Since I have the G1, I cannot attest to the 42-601's design of the G2. My cover, for what it is worth, is rather water tight (not 100%) and I use the automatic carwash.

I have had no issues in this time and living in NJ, snow, ice, rain, and everything in between have not affected it. After every wash, I used the protectant it came with and now I just use the tire shine spray to keep the cover in good condition.
Sounds great. I would expect the G2 model to be similar. BTW, my son in law now has my G1....if he decides to pursue a lid I'll show him that one.

Do you ever take it off to use the whole bed for hauling something? How intrusive are the rails yours attaches to?
This is from March 2019 when we did our basement flooring. approximately 1500lbs; almost maxing out the 1546lb payload capacity. The squat was not bad, as you can see it in the pictures.

Somewhere I have a very similar pic of my G1, at about this time last year, hauling a pallet of tile for our kitchen - similar weight, squat and results as I recall.
Hauled a piano across town today. No problems what so ever. Removed Peragon cover, slid piano in, strapped with ratchet straps and put the tailgate up. Love this truck!

Mike
Well done! Hauled a dishwasher today - pales in comparison to the piano, lol.

I really want that Peragon cover; just haven’t decided if I can live with its rails. Do they sometimes get in your way?
Welcome!

Really cool pic (literally :)). Guessing the 3000# is the trailer's hauling capacity. Wonder what the trailer itself weighs.

In that light/snow reflection can't quite tell your truck's color - maybe blue? (My RL is blue and I love it.)
What have I hauled lately?

Nothing but ass.
:)
Thanks. the picture is on my property, getting ready to leave :)
The trailer is a Featherlite 2 horse slant. I'm not sure the exact model but I think its similar (but older) to the one in this link which lists the trailer weight at 3280, and payload capacity as 3750.

So I'm pretty sure I exceed the recommended limit of 5k lbs by a significant amount, but its good to know it handled it. Hauling 2 horses around is not something I plan to do very often (although my daughter might want to disagree).
The color is forest mist metallic AKA green :)
That's an impressive amount of tonnage to tow!

Don't think I've ever seen the forest mist metallic in real life, but I like a nice green color.
You are right its hard to see the color in the picture, although I made it bigger in my post. It was a challenging situation for a cell phone camera. A bright sunny Colorado day after a big snow storm and the light is extremely bright. Sunglasses mandatory! capturing a dark color from a distance in such lighting is beyond the ability of my phone, obviously.
What a beautiful state. I report to an office just south of Denver (Englewood), but haven't been there for a while.
Forgot to take a pic, but happily learned last night that standard-sized washer and dryer (in boxes) fit just right in the G2 bed with the tailgate closed. Assumed we'd be leaving the tailgate down and strapping them in, but was pleasantly surprised. Did put a couple of straps over the top to be sure nothing would bounce out on the way back from Lowes.
Pics or it didn't happen!
I have no evidence and no defense, your honor; in fact I had two (2) cellphones in my pocket, lol. And on Saturday I hauled a gnarly old bed, box spring & bedframe to the dump....no pic either.

I've had trucks almost continuously since 2006, and don't like being without one; there's just something satisfying about being able to haul "whatever". When we were exploring replacing our G1 I noted that it was logical to at least test drive something other than a Honda, so we drove an F150 right after the G2, and she said "Get it if you want, but this thing is way too big for me to drive....and where's the trunk? You require a truck with a trunk!".

What did you use to hold down the end of the lumber?
Another ratchet strap on the lower tie down points - just like the orange one you can see holding the boards to the top of the tailgate.
Not a big haul, but busy day
My truck often looks just like that. Gonna load the mower, etc., and go take care of 88 year old FIL’s yard today.

Love the obsidian blue - same.
That was 1 year or so ago when I first started to go camping with my Ridgeline.

This is more recent with added roof rack, Yamaha bike rack, side rails added.

That's a lot of stuff, and an impressive variety.

All you need is Granny Clampett in a chair back there!

It all started when I suggested we could build a garden planter out of the cedar panels from the rotting fence we were taking down. The chief engineer ran with the idea and we ended up with 3 large boxes which the CE thought needed good top soil. I'll get some delivered I advised. 'What's wrong with that expensive new truck you had to have?' was the reply. "I'm not putting dirt in the Ridgey!" I responded. View attachment 401905

Haven’t loaded my 2019 with dirt yet, but no doubt will. Did a lot of that with the 2007.
