*** POST your pics of hauling and/or towing ***

Just thought it would be fun to see the various uses of the G2 Ridgeline's versatility in hauling stuff in the bed and/or towing... I've seen a number of pics in various threads but thought it would be good to put all into one thread.

This was mine over the weekend hauling musical instrument/PA gear for a gig on Saturday night, with room in the front and back seats for my wife and 22 yr old son to help "roadie"... I found that it can haul as much gear as my 2005 Chevy Avalanche did with the RL's back seat flip up and in bed trunk.

Guitars, Amp head in roadcase, 3 level toolbox with cables and gear, 18" powered subwoofer, (2x) 12" powered speakers, Effects rack, Mixer, 4x12 speaker cab (backseat area), various mic/speaker stands, etc.

Silkiechicken, nice looking truck! You may be able to stand the bales on end to haul more per load.

I have a BakFlip cover on my RL, so I fold it up against the cab, when I load 2 bales of pine straw down end to end under the folded BakFlip, up against the front of the bed and then stand 16 bales on end (4 rows, 4 wide) in the bed. The tailgate just does close, packing everything in tight. I've never needed to put on straps or a tarp and have no problems driving on the highway at 60.
We needed a new queen size bed for our guest room, so we picked up a Serta memory foam mattress at Sam's Club for about $500. It's really nice and every bit as comfortable as our Tempur-Pedic mattress that cost four times as much. I'd sell/donate her old mattress and buy a new one at Sam's Club or Costco at her destination.
I bought a big, heavy duty drop cloth that can cover the entire bed, up the sidewalls and over the tailgate. I spread it out before loading loose material like mulch, pine straw or gravel. Once I've got the load down to a few shovelfuls, I just drag the drop cloth out of the truck to unload the last of the load and the truck bed is clean as a whistle and no debris gets down in the groove surrounding the trunk lid.

Shake the drop cloth a few times, fold it up and toss it back in the truck. :)

Spring is finally here and the home improvement projects have begun....

10-ft 4x4 post for a screened porch project, easy peasy.

18 bales of pine straw munch fit just fine (there are two bales lying flat under the Backflip, against the front of bed). If I completely remove the Backflip I can fit 20 bales.

I am in love with the depth of that garage.
Thanks cmoschip, when we were looking for a new home 15-years ago I really wanted a 3-car garage. We just couldn't find the house we wanted (and could afford) with a 3-car garage, but I've really enjoyed or 'jumbo' 2-car garage. It's 24' front to back and 22' wide with an 8'x9' storage area to the side. The previous owner/builder made sure it has plenty of outlets and all the walls and ceiling are finished cement siding.

I've tried to convince my wife we really need to build a 2-story, 2-car garage at the end of our driveway for a guest space and shop (for restoring/storing a VW or Porsche), but I'm a lousy pitchman and my proposal has been shot down every time. ;)

I've been volunteering with 9-Lives Cat Rescue in my hometown for over 10-years and we decided it would be fun this year to have a float in the Christmas parade. The decision to have a float was very last minute and I was able to borrow a 10' trailer from a neighbor. The parade theme this year was the movie 'A Christmas Story'. There were lots of Leg Lamps and tongues frozen to flag pole themed floats, but we went a different route. We had "Those darned Bumps cats" knocking over a Christmas tree and stealing the Christmas turkey.

There were 80-something groups in the parade and probably at least 50 pickups towing floats including a lot of diesels, 'bro trucks' with big tires, etc. We were the only float with lights that didn't need to use a generator (not bad for 'Not a Real Truck').

I purchased a tow hitch and 6-pin plug adapter when I got my first Ridgeline, but this is the first time I've needed to tow anything. Getting the 4" hitch mount into the receiver was a really snug fit on the sides, but there was a good bit of wiggle room top and bottom, which translated to a lot of banging anytime the trailer went over a bump. What do you-all recommend to reduce the banging on the hitch receiver?

@Engine95 - Thanks! I'm in Oxford, MS (about 60 miles south of Memphis).

Normally things would be a lot greener by now, but we had one really bad day in December that has damaged/killed every evergreen shrub in the area. It was 55 degrees and sunny in the afternoon and 8 hours later we were in single digits with wind chills below freezing. It was the first freeze of the season and the plants didn't have time to acclimate. Every azalea, gardenia, nandina, loropetalum, camellia and ligustrum in the yard looks completely dead. I'm hoping to see signs of life in the next week or two, if not I have about 40 shrubs that I'll have to replace.

@Pleease - I should have left the ratchet straps in the trunk so I could show it off for the guys who helped me load the tub and OSB at Home Depot. :p I will say the guy who helped me load the OSB was a little surprised to see the sheets load flat in the bed.
