It's amazing how far the prices have fallen on TV's 55" or larger. We are still waiting for our 58" Samsung plasma (12 years old) to bite the dust, so we can "upgrade." My wife is smitten by the "red" glass outline on the frame.
Our 59" Samsung plasma lasted 16 years, and then just started cycling on/off every minute or two. Picture was still great. When I turned it in to Best Buy, I told them the same, and if they had an electronics geek on staff, he might want to swap out a capacitor or PSU or something simple to fix it. I would've done the same 20 years ago, but I just don't have the time to fiddle with stuff anymore. I haven't seemed to have any extra time since I got married 18 years ago. :ROFLMAO: These 4k tvs are nice, picture looks 3D!

I did talk to Samsung support to see if there was anything they could do with to fixing the TV or getting me a good deal on a new one. No dice. I believe their support center, like many other electronics, is just a call center in India that runs down a generic list for simple stuff (unplug TV, etc.). This particular TV had nothing in the menu for factory reset, etc.

I presume your wife is looking at the "Art" series, or whatever it is called? After my bout with Samsung support, I was a little soured and went with the HiSense mostly on principle (and didn't mind saving $700).

Ridgeline content: if I had these TVs shipped to my house, I wouldn't have gotten them until November 30th. With the truck, I was able to go pick them up same day... I don't think the 65" TV would fit in a typical SUV, and a BoF truck would make for a rough and jiggly (nerve-wracking) ride home.

Now the wife can watch her Macy's Parade on the big screen and I can watch the Cowboys tomorrow!

Only turned on my huge flat screen TV maybe 3 times since moving in this house 49 months ago, iPad and laptop serve me well and since I'm nearsighted, I don't have wear glasses inside the house anymore (y)

5000lbs maxed with no trailer brake controller (not sure if the U-Haul is automatic).

160 mile round trip in San Antonio, TX to get my VIN inspection for my imported Subaru. I left with a full tank and I got 14.9 lowest to 15.5ish highest according to trip. I didn’t gas up afterwards to get true figures.

I was so nervous since it’s my first time hauling in this truck but it pulled way better than my Gladiator (37 wheels though and tons of extra weight).

I've been volunteering with 9-Lives Cat Rescue in my hometown for over 10-years and we decided it would be fun this year to have a float in the Christmas parade. The decision to have a float was very last minute and I was able to borrow a 10' trailer from a neighbor. The parade theme this year was the movie 'A Christmas Story'. There were lots of Leg Lamps and tongues frozen to flag pole themed floats, but we went a different route. We had "Those darned Bumps cats" knocking over a Christmas tree and stealing the Christmas turkey.

There were 80-something groups in the parade and probably at least 50 pickups towing floats including a lot of diesels, 'bro trucks' with big tires, etc. We were the only float with lights that didn't need to use a generator (not bad for 'Not a Real Truck').

I purchased a tow hitch and 6-pin plug adapter when I got my first Ridgeline, but this is the first time I've needed to tow anything. Getting the 4" hitch mount into the receiver was a really snug fit on the sides, but there was a good bit of wiggle room top and bottom, which translated to a lot of banging anytime the trailer went over a bump. What do you-all recommend to reduce the banging on the hitch receiver?

We had a hitch mount bike rack that had some play side to side and top to bottom. This helped a lot. It's just a Simpson connector that I cut and bent to fit. The cut out notch allowed the pin to be inserted and the bends kept it from going too far in when the rack was installed.

They make things commercially that you cam add to the hitch to bolt then down snug.

If you want to do it on the cheap, maybe try a shim or two (you can get them in wood or plastic).

Others have used duct tape, but it looks a little red-necky.

Cool!

I had an ‘11 and an ‘18 WRX. Sweet cars. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one not for the American market though. Is it JDM? What year?

Yes… RHD jdm. 1997 Subaru Impreza Sti. I just imported it in August 2022. Received mid November.

In order to register/title in Texas, I needed the import paperwork, Japanese title/translation, invoice, vehicle inspection, and vin inspection (had to be done by law enforcement). I got the car for really dirt cheap and I plan to sell before summer since I’m getting a 1998 R34 Skyline.

Hauled about 1300# of landscape-wall blocks. Had a fair amount of gear in the trunk too, so all-in was over the stated payload capacity. I had thought they weighed about 15# each, but later learned they're 25#; you can see the squat in these pics. Would've loaded less if I'd realized that, but it did well anyway, including managing the steep gravel hills at the lake.

My wife drove the RL while I pulled a trailer full of blocks with our SUV, which has more towing capacity. Said it did great, but the heavy load made downhill braking tricky on the gravel, as the weight caused a tendency to kinda sled through the gravel.

Apparently I've been hauling this stowaway around for a few days, wife opened the passenger door on the 2022 RL last night and this fella greeted her - the meeting was not mutually enjoyed.
Don't know what kind he is but we shooed him away- and a good time was had by all View attachment 432890
Nope, no way can't handle that. That's worse than a leak in the cab!! Glad to be shoveling snow today.

We have an inch of rain headed this way, followed by a bit of freezing rain, then 2-4" snow winding up by Thursday evening. I'd much rather it be all snow (even if it's 1.5'), since our ground is frozen, and I'm sure drains, culverts and most waterways are frozen. Forecast is calling for subzero temps next week, so this rain will freeze quickly and be with us for at least several weeks.

At least they are not forecasting much freezing rain for us. Further north, Watertown, SD, they are forecasting 0.39" ice from freezing rain. Not good.

Back on topic, that little guy looks like it could be a variety of bullsnake, gopher snake or rat snake, depending on @fdeno's location.
