In that same vein of thought, perhaps a hard (fiberglass) tonneau cover that sat 5-6 inches above the bed rails? I've seen a number of comments on this forum about how most coolers, etc., would fit under the tonneau covers if there were just a couple more inches if headroom.Ohhh I know what you mean, sorry. Some of our new products may be able to help with that in the way of adding something to them to create a wall, but most that need this specific option may opt to go the cheaper route and throw in some plywood etc. Either way, something to think about and something our new products may still help with. Make the tonneau open from either side with a hinge down the middle, perpendicular to the cab. Or three doors, like that version that Diamondback makes but doesn't offer for the Ridgeline.
Or maybe just spacers that would go between existing tonneau covers and the bed rails. Stackable modular one- or two-inch spacers... not sure what to do with tailgate though. And the buyer would lose a little rearward visibility, but not as much as with a full cap.
