What you looked for when you bought your RL

The first thing I want to say here is, Thank You, to all of you participate in this forum. This is a great "go to" place to find information for those like myself researching the new G2 RL and soon to be owner.

I'M hoping to be in my new RL by the first week in May. I'll be trading in a 2003 Subara Baja, I loved this car with a truck bed so I think that a RL will be a next step up.

I test drove a RLT T and was very impressed, but I wanted a RTL E Scarlet Red and they didn't have one on the lot. The dealer assured me that they could trade with another dealer and get me what I wanted. Talk to my dealer Friday and he said they found one and it's on it's way. I am hoping to see it, do a walk around inspection and test drive by the end of the month.

So I would like to ask a question to the members of this forum, when you did your inspection and walk around of the RL you bought what were the things you where looking for and were there anything that you wish you would have ask the salesman about the you didn't.

I think there is a sticky with a 'checklist' that would help with at least part of what you are asking. Do a search on it, shouldn't be hard. I use Tapatalk so it's harder for me to post links for ya.

Just got home from picking up my new RLT E in red. I LOVE this color wanted to take some pictures tonight and post them but it has been rainy all day, tomorrow should be better. Will post as soon as I can.

Congrats ! That's my color too. It was my only choice for a color and had to wait two months for them to get me one.

It's here, I've had it for a full day now. So far I love it! When I left my Subaru behind I was kinda sad, but that lasted only about 5 minute of my drive on the way home.
It was such a smooth and quite drive home. The only problem is that I really didn't feel the speed of the car like I do with others, not a bad thing, just have to watch my speed.
The only accessories I had the dealer ad were the roof rails, I plan on adding more myself later, the roof rails just seemed like the biggest pain in the backside to put on.
I'm happy with my purchase and I hope this feeling last.

Nice!

Regarding the speed, it is quiet and comfortable when the RPMs are reasonable. If I am easy on it, accelerating up to expressway speeds is effortless.

But if you mash on it and make it work hard then you will have a different experience :surprise:
