Hey guys.

I have a squeal and clatter going on, so I was checking out my autotensioner. In doing that, I noticed a bolt that's appears to be backed out part of the way, but I wanted to defer to the experts here. I've included two pictures--one is blurry, but it makes it clearer where the bolt in question is.

What's going on there? Thanks!

That is a timing cover bolt. And I do believe it is backed out a bit. Just holds the plastic cover on. The smooth part you see instead of threads is a "collar" on the bolt so you don't smash the cover by over tightening. once the tensioner is removed you will have access to that bolt.

It is very unlikely this is the source of the noise.
