wheel lug nuts rusting

I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I own a 2017 RTLE which now has about 2,000 miles on it. Today I noticed that several of the chrome wheel lug nuts are rusting on all 4 wheels. I would imagine that the dealer should be able to replace them under new vehicle warrantee.

Same problem on mine. Guess you are in salt country like me? Will complain when I bring her in for the first oil change. Hopefully they will warranty them.

Noticed this on mine last week. Just had my oil change a month ago, didn't notice it then. Let me know if you decide to contact Peters about it. I would be curious to find out if they would take care of it.

Sorry, but that is ridiculous!! First, the lug nuts and then most certainly those fancy wheels. I guess the EPA has got their evil grip on our lug nuts. I thought they were just attacking our paint jobs, but evidently I was completely wrong.
Bad chrome plating is all it is. Steel underneath is exposed.
I will let you know. I am probably going to wait another month so that most of them will be rusted so they can change them all. Seems like this should be under warrantee. If for some reason you go to Peters first, Please let me know how you make out.
I have seen this also. Brand new ridgelines on the lot... lug nuts had rust on them.
Same here. Been looking for any aftermarket replacement with no luck.

Lugs are 14mm 1.5 pitch. They also must be a ball type seat, all the lugs I've seen are 60deg taper.

Gonna check into pilot lugs.
Well now I feel like I should examine my nuts.

The reason for the bad chrome plating is that the EPA shut down most of the "chromers" because of pollution in the chroming process.

O.K. that was near comedy genius.

My lug nuts are rusting also. I have looked for aftermarket but can't find any. Does anyone know of an aftermarket source?
Me too, as well! You'd think that with as much as a Ridge costs, you'd at least get a lug nut that would last more than 4 months before rusting! Look to eBay for 20 pc sets for around $20 - 25 for a set. Mine's on order as of this AM!

Let us know if the mounting seat on the eBay lugs is the same as the stock lug.
J21SSI - Should be, they're OEM Honda lug nuts. $20 for set of 20 and free shipping! Hard to beat $1 a nut!

Well I have no nuts, other than my truck, that is what makes it funny. :)

I have BE with 3500 miles. Have driven in one snow. Noticed rust on the nuts today.
Until Honda gets this figured out, you can do a search on Amazon for lug nut caps. I'm not sure what size fits the Ridgeline lug nuts, but 17mm and 19mm are readily-available, and in different colors. You get 20 caps for ~$12.69.
