I'm a few weeks away from lifting my truck, and I know I'm going to add bigger tires, but what about bigger rims? Would, say, 20 inch Rockstar rims lift the truck any, as opposed to the stock 17 inch rims? Just curious.

Depends what profile tires you put on. If rim and tire are same diametre , no lift will happen.

I hope this helps you understand. The center distance of the wheel to the ground changes by tire size.
Okay, I understand. So adding larger rims will only lift it if I add bigger tires? Would it better to just save the money on rims and put it into something else? I had planned on getting bigger tires anyway.

I would skip the lift and get bigger rims and tires.
