Normal AC mode allows outside air to be filtered into the system and cooled then blown at the desired speed into the cabin. For the "Max AC" setting, the recirculation gate closes causing the cabin air to be recirculated through the AC system so that it is cooled faster since it makes multiple passes over the part that cools the air (condensor?) as well as the fan speed being increased to its maximum speed.On the RT and RTX trims, what exactly does the "Max A/C" mode do? I know it forces the Recirculate function to ocuur, but is there anything else? When I have the Normal A/C set to the highest fan setting and have the air recirculating it functions, feels, and sounds EXACTLY the same before I push the "Max A/C" button as it it does after. Does the "Max A/C" button do anything specific, other than setting everything (highest fan speed, coldest temp setting, and recirc) to the optimal level?

If I remember right, when I switch to "max", it also speeds the fan up some too as well as recirculating the air.

Yes, correct. But if 1) the recirc gate is already closed, 2) normal A/C is on, 3)max fan speed is selected, and 4)coldest air is selected: then is there anything different or extra that happens when you select "Max A/C"?
OK, thanks for the confirmation that I'm not missing out on some sort of unseen improvement in airflow - or the implementation of a second "condensor"...lol.
