One of my backup LED bulbs blew, but the supplier I used has no more in stock. Is there another supplier with the correct bulbs out there?

As it happens I just bought some LED backup bulbs and installed them last week. Purchased on Amazon : Alla Lighting Part # STR-2835-7443-39W .

Works Great ! $ 21.00 US shipped. Strobe works for a split second instantly as you put the truck in reverse. Nice feature. Had to reverse truck up to shop window to see the strobe feature as it happens quickly before solid reverse light appears

Curious: were they a huge hassle to replace, that required special tools? I have a 2020 RTL-E.

On my 2012 Acura it was a major hassle changing out any rear bulbs, and one had to have a special tool to remove the trunk liner. And that was only a small part of the process. I had my mechanic do it because he had the tool.

Unlike my old Toy Hilux: remove 4 phillips on the lens, pull lens off, replace bulb, reattach lens

I had no idea there were ones that had a momentary strobe effect. If mine go out, I'll consider getting those for the safety factor. As it stands, this is what I have installed. I like them particularly for lighting up the back when I'm reversing at night and looking at the camera image, much brighter than stock though of course not headlights bright.

Thanks, I just purchased 4 of these bulbs. I am going to replace my backup and my brake lights with these.

Fun fact, when I changed mine, the left lens bottom screw plate fell out of the assembly into the rear bumper... thankfully I could reach it through the gap, but I didn't think I'd encounter that kind of issue that night.

Assuming that by brake you mean turn signal, I went with and recommend red, as well as high lumen output. People tend not to notice red on red (turn signal with brake light), so I made sure the bulbs were as bright as possible to stand out from the brake lights. The result is that my turn signals outshine my brake lights by a small degree, which means there's no way someone can miss them flashing.

You can use white if you want, just know it might shine as a lighter red/dark pinkish color depending on the lumen output and bulb type.

Something like the Philips 7440R Ultinon LED Bulb. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077FL88PP

This may cause the turn signals to hyperflash, and in that case you need a Philips Ultinon CANbus adpater. Of course there are many other bulb makes and resistors to fix the hyperflash, but Philips is something that I tend to gravitate towards for reliability and consistency of exterior bulbs.

These are what I used, from VLEDs, but they are expensive. Very bright though, which is why I got them.

@ROBSRTL I had them previously in my 2012 CR-V. Super bright and as you said they lasted several years until I sold it and reinstalled stock bulbs. I'd prefer that to potentially ordering Amazon ones every year.

From my experience, if you don't have LED front turn signals, the current version I linked don't need them. However, if you use LEDs for front and rear turn signals, you'll need resistors for either both rear or both front turn signals. I installed them on the front as it has much more room. The back is a tight fit even without the resistors.

Edit: attached is a cropped screenshot showing the bulbs not needing resistors, unless like I mentioned you have LED front signals

I have mine installed without the hyperflash fix, so it should work in yours too IF you don't have LEDs installed in your front turn signals - if you do, install hyperflash fix/resistors on the front turn signals (if you haven't already), as the rear ones are harder to fit additional equipment.
