So for each vehicle I have ever owned, I've gotten a brochure for it. Kind of a memento to keep after I were to sell it down the road. Dealers and even online, I can't seem to locate a brochure for the 2021 RL. The closest I found was from Canada. Is this no longer a thing? If so, wonder how I can get a copy of the Canadian version.

Thanks

If you go to the Honda website and go to the bottom of the Ridgeline page, you can request one to be sent in the mail. It’s not very comprehensive and includes other vehicles, but it’s all they have.

I see the 2017 brochure has weird trim levels as well??

Reply from Honda Canada if they could mail me a nice printed copy of the 2021 brochure:

"We've actually stopped producing printed brochures in an effort to support the environment. Please refer to the digital version, along with the website, for the information you need."

Yeah, just like comprehensive manuals, you have to download the PDF of the Canadian brochure and print it yourself.

Note that, in Canada, the only things that are done at the factory are the trim level and color. The trim level determines what is "standard;" everything else is dealer installed. The Canadian Sport is much better equipped than the US Sport. Of course, given the currency conversion and the additional equipment, it costs a lot more (Canadian) dollars than the US Sport in American dollars.

That's how Honda works everywhere - not just in Canada. The 2021 US Ridgeline introduced Honda to PPO (Post-Production Options) - some components of the four available packages get installed after the vehicle is manufactured, but before it delivers to the dealer.

Hmmm...maybe it's the PPO that has some US buyers complaining that their Ridgeline arrived at the dealer with options they didn't want. In Canada, if it has something that's not part of the trim level, it's because the dealer himself (or herself) installed it and is trying to extract more money from the buyer. If you see big fat HPD fender flares on your Ridge, it's because the dealer put them there.

None of that is really discussed in the downloadable brochure, of course.

At an online FX rate I found today, the Canadian Sport (in CAD) is within $200 of the US Sport (in USD). Same with Canadian EX-L and US RTL. But, as we know, the Canadian models are better equipped.

Pricing for OEM accessories in Canada include installation, whereas in the US I see installation is extra. My dealer was quite happy to remove the imbedded labour charge for the accessories I bought. However, even after removing the imbedded labour charge, accessories in Canada like the tonneau cover, bed extender and tent are still WAY more expensive than they are as priced on the Honda USA website..

Dang, I wish I had done that. Of course my filing system is a bit disorganize so maybe I'll find some old brochures. Nice idea to save them. I get attached to my vehicles and it's hard to sell the old friends who have taken me so many places.

After a few dozen they become just another VIN. ;)

I made a lot of memories in the '99 Regal I owned for 7 years, but I don't recall being all that sad when I traded it for my first Honda - a shiny new '06 Accord. I actually saw the Regal still on a road a few years ago. It was in near-showroom condition when I traded it in, but it obviously had a hard life after that.

Trading my '20 CX-5 for a '21 Ridgeline probably tugged more on my emotions than any trade in recent history and I'm pretty attached to my '19 MX-5 Miata as well. There's just something about the Mazdas - they have a soul that makes Hondas seem rather sterile.

I was a bit attached the the CX-5 I had on vacation for three weeks driving around the Canadian Rockies. Too bad they weren't as nice in 2014 when we settled on a Mazda3 for my wife since we weren't impressed by any of the small SUVs. But that has been a nice car, although we usually take the Ridgeline on the trips where more memories are made. And I've seen how often you replace vehicles zrodger73--I don't go through nearly that many, don't have time to shop that often.
